Notices

Notices and announcements on every phone

A notice board only works if people see it. With GateBell the committee publishes once, members get a notification, and the committee can see how many have actually read it.

What you get

Publish in a minute

Title, message and a category: general, maintenance, event or emergency.

A notification for everyone

Residents, guards and committee members get a push notification when a notice goes live.

Pin and expire

Pin what matters this week. Give a notice an end date and it disappears from residents' screens by itself.

Attach a file

Add a PDF or image, such as a circular, a quotation or a meeting agenda.

See who has read it

The committee sees a read count for each notice.

Guards stay informed

Guards can read notices in the app, in read-only mode.

How it works

  1. Step 1

    Write the notice

In the admin web portal or the admin mode of the app.

  2. Step 2

    Publish

    Members are notified at once.

  3. Step 3

    Track reads

Check the read count and pin or edit as needed.

Good to know

  • Notices are one-way announcements. Residents raise issues through complaints (see the helpdesk) or contact the committee.
  • GateBell does not yet include polls or voting, event booking or amenity booking.
  • Some matters may still need a paper notice or a signature under your bye-laws. Check your bye-laws and state Act.

Frequently asked questions

Will every resident be notified?

Every member who has the app installed and notifications allowed gets the push notification. Everyone can also see the notice inside the app.

Can we stop using the paper notice board?

Many societies keep both for a while. Some matters may need physical notice under your bye-laws, so check them first.

Can residents reply to a notice?

No. Notices are announcements. Residents can raise a complaint or contact the committee.
